Northerners on holiday.

I'm in Cyprus at a lovely all inclusive resort well away from Ayia Napa and the first 4 days have been wonderful, lots of Russians and a few families from Essex all adding to the nice atmosphere.
Yesterday some families from the North arrived and instantly the atmosphere changed, kids running wild, parents getting pissed on free alcohol and sunbeds being reserved.
One horrible tattooed covered shit complained to the manager that it wasn't real Coca Cola being served, the manager said he could buy a bottle and he replied by pointing at his wristband and saying I'm all inclusive chief.
Another lady, also covered in tattoos, moaned that there were no snacks served between breakfast and lunch ( a 2 hour gap ), the manager said there was cake, fruit and ice cream available, I want hot snacks she moaned!
I FUCKING HATE NORTERNERS
Benefit scroungers.
Take your shit kids and fuck off to butlins.

I was going to laugh really hard about that until it suddenly dawned on me that one year in Tenerife me and my mates were in a bar in the day getting pissed which had Only Fools and Horses on the TV. We watched about eight episodes. I was pissed though.....And still hanging from the night before. Seemed a laugh at the time. It was mobbed too, everyone laughing. Loads of Northerners in their too.
But you are right. It's strange.

In 2003 I had the misfortune to go to Magaluf on a mates stag do, worst 3 days of my life.
There were a couple of bars near our hotel who put Coronation Street on the big screen and the places were packed.

Southerners 'drink more on holiday' than Northerners.
The findings contrast with the perception that northerners in the UK are more partial to having a drink.
Those who classed themselves as living in the south admitted to drinking almost double the amount of units than those in the north, an average of 63.3 units a week compared to 36.8 units.
More than 2,000 adults were asked about their holiday habits in the survey carried out by www.sunshine.co.uk. They were shown an alcohol unit guide and asked to estimate how many units they drank over the course of a week.
According to the poll, men from the north drank an average of 42.5 units a week, mostly lager, and women, 31.2 units of what they said was mainly wine.
This was a good deal less than men in the south, who admitted to consuming 67.3 units of alcohol. Their tipple of choice also differed, with the southern men claiming to drink mostly wine.
Women from the south averaged 59.4 units, drinking mainly spirit mixers.
High risk drinking is defined by the NHS as more than 50 units a week if you are a man, and 35 units for women.
The poll follows recent research which suggests that six out of ten Britons drink more on holiday than they do at home.
A total of 28 per cent of British holidaymakers said they would have five or more drinks each day, in a survey of 6,258 Europeans, including 2,508 Britons, for TripAdvisor.

I have russian family, nice people and very interesting to speak to.
But they are normal russians, you don't get to see them much as they don't travel too much and tend to live away from moscow and st petersburg.
Unfortunately, the majority of russians you are most likely to encounter, whilst only representing less than 0.01 percent of the population are so fucking horrible, I can understand people hating russia and russians forever.
Stoneleftfeet obviously has absolutely no conscience or sense of self and would prefer to associate himself with cheap plastic soviets with their fat balding middle aged crooked men with their pneumatic, plastic younger subservient wives. They are massive cunts.

I've been to Cyprus loads of times,I know the west side of the island very well(Pathos)
I was going to suggest travelling up to Platres in The Troodos Mountains,setting off early stopping off at a Taverna on the way for lunch(noon -two) no fixed menu and stopping off at some vineyards on the way down.
I'm sure there will be similar the other side of the island just hire a car,lonely planet/rough guide will put you right.
The Cypriots are a good lot.

I'm a southerner but the last few posts do make me smile. I rent holiday homes and most northerners are absolutely the best....

Im a northerner and don't experience what you are describing on holiday. Probably because I pay to go to decent places that serve real coca-cola in the all inclusive package, rather than the peasants holiday you appear to have purchased.
